Because I’m pretty sure Curbed won’t run this in its original form:

Twenty-two days ago Amy Sedaris ran away from her Christopher Street rental.  She stole the TV!  But now she’s back in a 9,000 sq. ft. one bedroom co-op at 50 West 9th Street.  And though at $1.3 million, the prices have changed, the hassles are just the same. [NYO]

UPDATE: I actually ended up axing this one myself.  My first lesson in the important art of self-editing.

Star Maps

Curbed’s Star Map, a map of celebrity real estate that I laboriously compiled, launched Friday.  I’m proud of it, despite the inaccuracies pointed out by the weird trolls that are commenters.

These errors are:

Apparently there’s no such thing as “East Williamsburg,” only Bushwick.  Try convincing any broker of that, or a resident who believes they’re too good for Bushwick.

Philippe De Montebello is the director of the Met, not the curator.  My bad.

Phil Lesh was the bassist for the Grateful Dead, not a guitarist.  To that I say, he was the bass guitarist, was he not?  If he played an upright double bass, (which would be significantly more awesome,) I would be willing to negotiate.

amNY: Disappearing Bobst

If you caught amNY.com this morning, you saw that in their “10 to Lose: Ugly buildings NYC would be better without” article, they included both NYU’s Kimmel Student Center and Bobst Library.

If you picked up the hard copy, however, you noticed that Bobst Library was absent and the Marriott Marquee in Times Square was in its place.

They’ve since relegated Bobst to their Urbanite blog, but I wonder - why replace Bobst? And, why choose to keep Kimmel over Bobst, clearly the uglier building?

Here’s the story.

And here’s Bobst:
