Back on Racked LA this month to talk to the elusive designer behind 69 and local designer on the rise Desiree Klein about their involvement with the pop-up gallery store co-hosted by Assembly New York over at Space 15 Twenty.
69 and Desiree first met at Weltenbuerger when Klein had moved to LA from Berlin.  ”I was thrilled to meet a like minded designer that comes from a non-industry, artistic and conceptual place,” Klein said of her partnering with 69 for the gallery store.
For their collaboration with Klein, 69 provided five yards of denim.  Klein said she took the opportunity to integrate their lines in a single piece: “I used an applique design I worked with in my last two collections and translated it by integrating the fringing qualities of denim.”
